The Government has set out its guidance for a discretionary non-repayable grant fund. This fund has been setup to assist certain small and micro businesses with relatively high fixed property-related costs. The business will need to demonstrate that it has suffered at least a 40% reduction in income due to the Covid-19 crisis. Each business can claim only one grant irrespective of the number of properties it occupies.
Businesses must have been trading on 11 March 2020 and at the date of application, and are not subject to administration, insolvency or striking off procedures.
Businesses which are eligible for other Covid-19 related cash grants, including the existing Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Grant and the Small Business Grant cannot claim a discretionary grant. The Leicester Extended Local Lockdown Discretionary Business Grant can still be claimed.
Claims from those businesses eligible under rounds 1 and 2 (for example, Bed and Breakfast businesses, Market Traders, charities, businesses occupying shared spaces etc.,) cannot be accepted, as the deadline for these has passed. Businesses which do not have a business premises or operate from a domestic property (i.e. homeworkers) cannot apply.

The current phase of the application process will close on Friday 28th August 2020 at 6:00 p.m. We will make grant payments to eligible businesses as soon as practicably possible.
